What can X-ray, MRI, CT and ultrasound really show in rheumatic disease? Join Denis Poddubnyy, Torsten Diekhoff and Kay-Geert Hermann for a special World Arthritis Day live session for patients — and for physicians who are new to rheumatology imaging.

Why October 12 Matters
World Arthritis Day is a global awareness day held every year on October 12 to raise awareness of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs) and their impact on people around the world.
The 2026 EULAR campaign theme is “Achieve Your Dreams”, highlighting the importance of greater awareness, earlier diagnosis, improved access to care, inclusion and support for people living with RMDs.
With our contribution to World Arthritis Day 2026, we want to focus on one very practical question: What can medical imaging contribute — and where are its limits?
One Hour. Four Diseases. Real Imaging.

In short, focused presentations we will explain how imaging is used in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), spondyloarthritis (SpA) and myositis.
When is an X-ray useful? When do ultrasound or MRI add important information? Where does CT have a role? And just as importantly: what can imaging not tell us?
The session is designed primarily for patients, but medical students, residents and physicians who are new to rheumatology and musculoskeletal imaging are very welcome too.
Live in English
The livestream will primarily be in English so that our international community can join.
German is absolutely welcome too: questions may be asked in German, and whenever useful we will repeat or explain key points in German.

Send Us Your Images!
This event is not only about lectures. Patients can submit their own imaging studies until October 11.
We will select suitable cases, anonymize them, and discuss the imaging findings during the live stream.
What do we see? Are there imaging findings that may be associated with a rheumatic disease? And which additional imaging examination might be useful?
Upload your case here:

Selected cases will be anonymized before presentation. The live discussion is intended for education and general information and does not replace an individual medical consultation or diagnosis.
